Privacy policy

Our role

We manage account and service-administration information for AttributeHQ. When an app business sends information about its users to AttributeHQ, we process that information to provide the configured measurement service for that business. The app business determines its collection and sharing purposes and is responsible for explaining them to its users. Its own privacy notice also applies.

Information we process

Account information includes names, email addresses, organization and app details, authentication records, sessions and support correspondence. Passwords are stored as hashes; authentication and connected-service credentials are used to provide access to the service.

Depending on the SDK, platform and configuration, measurement information can include installation identifiers, customer identifiers supplied by the app business, event names and timestamps, event properties, device and operating-system details, app versions, network request information such as IP addresses and user agents, and tracking or sharing preferences. Purchase integrations may provide transaction identifiers, subscription status, amounts and currencies. Connected advertising services may provide campaign information and performance reports.

App businesses must limit custom events and properties to information appropriate for measurement. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, health information or other sensitive personal information in measurement events.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate users, operate the dashboard and APIs, process measurement events, produce reports, deliver configured integrations, provide support, and investigate reliability, abuse and security issues. Dashboard cookies and session records support sign-in and service operation.

A device identifier or pseudonymous event record is not necessarily anonymous. Tracking permission, app-level choices and partner-sharing restrictions must be respected. A successful event upload does not by itself establish permission to share it with an advertising platform.

Service providers and integrations

Hosting, database and email providers process information needed to operate AttributeHQ. Our deployment uses Render and Vercel for hosting and Resend for account emails, together with database infrastructure. These services may process information outside your country.

When an authorized integration is enabled, information relevant to that integration may be exchanged with the connected provider, such as an advertising platform or subscription service. App businesses must inform their users and obtain any required permissions. Third-party providers apply their own terms and privacy policies. AttributeHQ does not sell personal information.

Retention and security

We retain information for the purposes described here, including operating configured services, resolving support issues and meeting applicable legal obligations. During the pilot, there is no single automatic deletion period covering all measurement records. App businesses should agree their retention requirements with us before sending production data.

Access controls, protected credentials and HTTPS help protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. Backup copies and records that must be retained for legal or security reasons may have a different deletion lifecycle from active service records.

Your choices and requests

You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information, or to raise a privacy concern. Available rights depend on applicable law and our role in processing the information. We may need to verify your authority before acting.

If your request concerns an app that uses AttributeHQ, contact that app business first. We can help identify the relevant business where possible and assist it with a verified request. Removing an app or withdrawing future tracking permission does not automatically delete information already held by AttributeHQ or a connected provider. See our Data deletion page for instructions.

Updates

We may update this notice as the service changes. The current version will be available on this page; material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated through an appropriate service channel.
